"I couldn't stop stealing"

A serial shop-lifter who stole £10,000 worth of clothes over a six-year period says her behaviour was driven by an “unexplainable urge”.

Anne-Marie Williamson hoarded the items in her semi-detached home on Waveney Brow in Ballymena.

She did not open the packages or try to sell them on.

Williamson, who suffers from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), was given an 18-month conditional discharge when she recently appeared at Ballymena Magistrates' Court.
