It means a Hill of a lot to us

Jason Hill has described Glentoran's last seasonal success over Linfield as one of the highlights of his career — and says there haven't been enough of them.

The Oval outfit have traditionally struggled against their fierce rivals in the annual festive fixture and, when Michael Halliday scored the only goal of the game in 2007, it was the first time in 18 years that the Glens had recorded a victory.

That evening, Hill was captured on the live television cameras at the final whistle showing exactly how much the win meant to him and the club — the joy on his face telling the story and reflecting the ending frustration of nearly two decades of ruined Christmases in east Belfast.
