It's end game for Ambrose

Crocked captain Ambrose Rogers will step out onto the Croke Park turf today believing he can inspire Down to live the dream and lift the Sam Maguire.

Rogers may be starting on the bench but is expected to enter the All Ireland final battle with Cork in the second half as the Mournemen bid for an historic win.

Longstone, the club which Rogers and his late father Ambrose Snr have served so well, is the last port of call when the Down team arrive home tomorrow night and Rogers is determined to make sure he is holding the coveted trophy above his head.
