It's Samoans and groans
Ireland brought their losing run to an end at an Aviva Stadium 20,000 short of capacity yesterday, with gutsy Samoa going down 20-10.
But they made hard work of seeing off opponents whose forwards – despite being outweighed by 909 kg to 888 kg – caused them a hugely worrying number of problems, not least in the scrum.
Once again Ireland left it late. For the second week running, they only began to play in the final 15 minutes.
Before that they struggled horribly to break down opponents whose aggression meant they were unable to create momentum.
