Kathleen's tears for dear Charlie

The widow of disappeared victim Charlie Armstrong yesterday tearfully walked behind his coffin as his body was finally removed from a secret grave after 29 years.

Kathleen Armstrong, 80, was accompanied by family members as his remains were taken from Colgagh bogland in Monaghan where he had lain since being killed after vanishing on his way to Mass in Crossmaglen in 1981.

His remains will be brought to Dublin for DNA testing confirmation before being released to his widow for a Christian burial.
