Kennedy to walk
Northern Ireland football’s Government-sponsored £23m towards a new Windsor Park national stadium is safe.
On-the-ropes Irish FA President Raymond Kennedy confirmed last night he would ‘put football first’ and resign to secure the cash injection for the game.
Kennedy’s head was the price demanded by Government in return for the Windsor millions over his role in the bungled £500,000 dismissal of former chief executive Howard Wells.
