Murdered on Mother's Day

CelebratingSt Patrick's Day with a pint of Guinness, murdered mum Lyn Coburn looked the picture of happiness. But less than three weeks later she would be stabbed to death in a Mother's Day massacre that took place in her own home.

Her eldest son Johnny has been charged with her murder. The full horror of what happened at 20 Rossburn Manor in the quiet Co Antrim village of Connor last Sunday afternoon is only starting to emerge.

On what should have been one of the happiest days of the year for the popular 53-year-old, she was instead knifed repeatedly and had her throat cut in a frenzied attack.

A PSNI spokesman confirmed Lyn had suffered “multiple stab wounds”.
