Nesbitt: My secret family
Mike Nesbitt today lifts the lid on his hidden past — a secret family he left behind more than 20 years ago.
The former UTV news anchorman, who is fighting to replace love-cheat Iris Robinson as Strangford MP, has spoken in public for the first time about about the two daughters who grew up in east Belfast without him.
Nesbitt’s daughters are both now over 18 but he says they haven’t asked to meet him.
For more than two decades Nesbitt has carved himself a reputation as one half of a TV golden couple.
He has often gushed about his “deep love” for glamorous fellow telly host Lynda Bryans — and about how he’s devoted to the two sons they have together. Dozens of reports have referred to him as a “father-of-two” but he’s actually a dad-of-FOUR with two daughters now in their twenties.
