It was a one day wonder and quick as a flash but this year’s Belfast Film and Comic Con still managed to produce a few marvels.

From a handmade Harlequin to a first rate feline superhero, the cosplayers once again stole the show at the annual event on Saturday.

Littles ones also put on a big show with baby-in-arms Evie McKee-O’Connor coming as Princess Leia from Stars Wars and three-year-old Tilly Penney dressed as Harlequin.

Meanwhile sci-fi stars joined fans at the Titanic Exhibition Centre (TEC) including Doctor Who actress Ingrid Oliver who played Petronella Osgood and award-winning Game of Thrones star Staz Nair, known for his role as Qhono in the sixth series of the blood, sex and dragons saga.

Usually held over two days, this year’s event moved to the TEC but did not run on Sunday as in previous years.

But fans don’t have long to wait until the next such event with the Emerald Isle Comic Con due to be held in Belfast in May.
