Man bailed over alleged Peeping Tom offence at Northern Ireland beauty salon
A man has appeared in court accused of a Peeping Tom-style offence at a Co Down hair and beauty salon.
Warrenpoint-based Aleksandar Aleksandrov has appeared at Newry Magistrates Court charged with voyeurism at a salon in the harbour town.
The 31-year-old is accused of observing a female doing a private act without their consent on April 30.
The court heard Aleksandrov, of Donagh Grove, does not speak any English and he was accompanied by a translator.
He was released on bail to return to the same court for an attitude hearing in November.
The accused had recently been allowed to leave the jurisdiction for a holiday in late August to early September and returned to Northern Ireland to face the charge.
District judge Eamonn King released the accused on continuing bail with conditions attached that he has no contact with the alleged injured party or with the Warrenpoint beauty salon or its staff members.
