Football legend Sammy McIlroy has spoken about how he turned to drink during the break-up of his first marriage in the years before he became Northern Ireland manager.

The east Belfast man, capped 88 times for his country, took over as the national team boss in 2000 after a seven-year stint with Macclesfield Town.
