Solid Crue do job

Ten-man Crusaders exorcised the ghost of their 8-1 hammering by Linfield last month when they claimed a 2-1 victory over the Blues at Seaview yesterday.

Despite having Jordan Owens dismissed in the first-half, the Cries stormed ahead through Stuart Dallas and Chris Morrow before Robert Garrett claimed a consolation.

Across the city, Linfield's Big Two rivals Glentoran slumped to a 2-0 home loss against Dungannon Swifts, while Cliftonville returned to winning ways with a 5-0 win over Ballymena United, Chris Scannell hitting a hat-trick.

Portadown eased their relegation fears with a 3-0 defeat of Donegal Celtic, while Coleraine recorded the same scoreline at Lisburn Distillery.
