Ahmed Salam is proud to be the first Egyptian to play for Linfield, revealing he is inspired by countryman Mo Salah and wants to win trophies for the Blues just like his hero has for the Reds of Liverpool.

Salam, born in England to Egyptian parents, has been in superb form of late. In midweek with the Champions struggling to break down Carrick Rangers, it was the skills of the 20-year-old Hull City loanee that lifted David Healy’s side to a 2-0 victory.
