Derry City have joined Larne and Glentoran in the race to sign Coleraine star Jamie Glackin.
Sunday Life Sport revealed last week that the Glens and the Inver Park outfit are keen to land playmaker Glackin and now League of Ireland outfit Derry are in the mix.
Glackin has 18 months left on his contract and Coleraine are determined to keep him, though Bannsiders Chairman Colin McKendry admitted in midweek that there had been an enquiry from Larne but no offer.
While not looking to sell, the Showgrounds side believe that, in the current market, Glackin would be worth £100,000. Interested clubs will have to decide whether to make their move in the January transfer window or wait until the summer.
Either way, sources suggest that the Glens would be willing to offer cash plus players while Larne may opt for a straight cash swoop. Derry City, building a squad capable of challenging for major honours in the coming season, will continue to monitor developments.
