Rival bosses Mickey Harte and Seamus McEnaney are determined that today’s Ulster football final between Tyrone and Monaghan will be a showcase for Gaelic football.
Last week’s Leinster final ended in farce with Tyrone ref Martin Sludden incorrectly awarding Meath a late goal to deny Louth victory.
But McEnaney says he wants to restore the game’s tarnished image.
He said: “We are against a side that has been the best in the business over the years and the only way they will be beaten is by playing pure football.”
Harte said: “This is a showpiece and we aim to play our part.”
