I'm honoured to have been given a framed shirt and Irish League title medal by Crusaders legend Declan Caddell. As a life-long Crusaders fan it really means a lot because the medal is obviously something he could have handed down to his family.
I had helped Deccy out with his testimonial but I wasn't expecting anything in return. He came down to support the football match at Seaview for raising funds for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. It was organised by Ciaran McVarnock whose girlfriend is going through a very tough time with the illness.
I'm not sure who, if any, impressed Deccy but it was great craic and a real success for Ciaran who put in a lot of hard work to make it such a success.
One man who won't be getting a trial with the Crues is Paddy Barnes . He has to be one of the worst footballers I've ever seen - it was like watching Boris Johnson playing football! My team lost 2-1 but that was down to Paddy being on the pitch longer than he should have been!
The most important thing is that plenty of money was raised for the charity.
