Ulster's training session tomorrow morning at Newforge promises to be a particularly gruelling one.
The look of utter frustration and total exasperation on the face of coach Brian McLaughlin when the full-time whistle sounded at a rainswept and again almost-empty Murrayfield — 3,195 in a 67,000-seater stadium — on Friday night suggested that his players had better be prepared to sweat blood this week in the countdown to their Ravenhill tete-a-tete with table-topping Munster.
His words confirmed his anger. “That just wasn’t good enough. I’d just ask the players to take a good hard look at themselves,” McLaughlin rapped.
