Strong finish gets job Don

Dr McKenna Cup Final

Donegal 1-11 Tyrone 0-13

A great last quarter by Donegal ensured that they retained the Dr McKenna Cup in an exciting encounter in Enniskillen last night.

It took a late David Walsh goal to finally seal the issue after Donegal came from four down in the second half to draw level.

The game was marred by a serious injury picked up by Tyrone's Stephen O'Neill early in the second half after an accidental clash. It was a very open and free-flowing first half with the sides level on six occasions before two points from Tommy McGuigan and Kyle Coney in the last six minutes of the half sent Tyrone to the dressing rooms two ahead, 0-9 to 0-7.
