The Pistol bullet

Peter Thompson struck the only goal of the game as Linfield overcame Dungannon Swifts at Windsor Park yesterday.

Pistol's strike maintained the Blues' lead at the top of the Carling Premiership, though second-placed Glentoran continue to breathe down their necks after Matty Burrows hit ANOTHER injury-time winner to sink Portadown.

Crusaders and Cliftonville suffered losses to Glenavon and Lisburn Distillery respectively, while bottom side Donegal Celtic defeated Coleraine 2-1 despite being reduced to 10 men when Liam Watson was sent off after just 15 seconds.
