Ulster point way forward
Thanks to the dramatic events at the Liberty Stadium last night, when Ronan O’Gara’s last gasp penalty saw Munster beat the Ospreys 22-20, Ulster now need a solitary point to guarantee their spot in the Magners League play-offs.
With the fifth-placed Ospreys now only able to finish with a maximum of 64 points and Ulster currently in third spot and sitting on 63, should they both end up tied with 64, Ulster go through on the basis of having won more games throughout the campaign.
Though Ulster got the essential required result against Connacht last Friday night, should they have managed a winning bonus point then they would now already be in the top four play-offs.
