Worthy to axe Healy
Only three years ago he was the top sharpshooter in Europe.
Scoring an amazing 13 goals in qualifying, some of them quite breathtaking, David Healy led Northern Ireland to the verge of the Euro 2008 finals.
The Killyleagh born striker picked up a special award at Windsor Park from UEFA President Michel Platini for his outstanding exploits and received hero status throughout the Province.
But now Healy, who has endured a nightmare two years with his club Sunderland and also at international level, is facing the boot by Northern Ireland boss Nigel Worthington ahead of the European qualifiers which start with a tricky away tie to World Cup finalists Slovenia in September.
