The US government last night released fascinating home videos of Osama bin Laden sitting at home watching himself on TV and rehearsing for terrorist propaganda films.
The footage shot at the terror leader’s hideout in Abbottabad, Pakistan, was among the wealth of information collected during the American raid that killed bin Laden and four others last weekend. The information suggests bin Laden played a strong role in planning and directing attacks by al-Qaida.
One of the movies shows bin Laden, wrapped in a brown blanket and holding a remote control, flipping back and forth between clips of himself on TV. The small television was perched on top of a desk with wires running to a nearby cable or control box.
In another, he has apparently dyed and neatly trimmed his beard for the filming of a propaganda video.
