The Algarve has a multitude of beautiful beaches, considered some of the best in Europe, making it one of Portugal's most popular holiday destinations.

With an average of over 300 days of sunshine every year, it’s no wonder that the Algarve has been attracting holidaymakers in search of sun, sand and sea for many years. Also, we do recommend taking some time away from the beach so you can discover a few of the beautiful towns of the Algarve.

Visit Silves

The former capital of the Kingdom of the Algarve, the Arade Rivers flows by the charming and historic town of Silves, which has an abundance of wonderful lemon and orange trees. It has a laid-back atmosphere and it’s a great day trip where you can get away from the hustle and bustle of the busy beaches. A visit to the Castelo de Silves is a must-do activity during your holiday in the Algarve. Dating as far back as the 8th century, the castle offers amazing panoramic views over the town.

Explore Lagos

Located in the western Algarve, Lagos is a town is full of historical interest and culture, with many stunning churches and monuments to explore. The 16th century walls still encircle part of the old town with its pretty cobbled streets. There are plenty of bars and restaurants to enjoy in the modern part of the town, make sure to take a walk down to the Ponte da Piedade to admire the views of Lagos Bay.

Go To Sagres

If you continue further west, you can see the ‘The End of the World’ at Cape St. Vincent, the most south-westerly point of Europe’s mainland and where you can enjoy breath-taking views of the Atlantic Ocean from this jagged cliff top setting.
