Edinburgh Zoo may be forced to return its giant pandas to China due to financial pressures resulting from the Covid-19 pandemic. The zoo lost around £2 million last year after it was forced to close for three months due to the pandemic. The zoo's two pandas cost £1 million a year to lease from China.
