An unusual character stole the show at the Venetian premiere of the film Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon. It wasn’t the A-list actors Kate Hudson, Ed Skrein and Craig Robinson, but the pet of the film’s director, Ana Lily Amirpour. The film is inspired by the fantasy-adventure movies of the 1980s and '90s, and focuses on a girl with strange powers who escapes from a mental asylum. The movie is part of the selected competition of this year's Venice Film Festival, nominated for the Golden Lion.
