Public wave Ukrainian flags as they welcome Charles to Winchester

The Prince of Wales was greeted by large crowds as he visited Winchester on Thursday. The trip, which had to be rescheduled after Charles contracted Covid-19, included a visit to a statue of Licoricia of Winchester and its creator. He went on to officially open The Arc - a new arts and community space. Members of the public lined the streets waving Ukrainian flags as he arrived, showing solidarity with the country as it continues to be invaded by Russian troops. A day earlier, the prince denounced the attack during a visit in London where he met Ukrainians to show his support, telling them: "We are praying for you."
