Sir Ed Davey warns critics of Sir Tony Blair's knighthood against 'disrespecting' the Queen

The leader of the Liberal Democrats, Sir Ed Davey, said he was worried some people calling for Sir Tony Blair's knighthood to be rescinded were being "disrespectful" to the Queen. Speaking in Central Lobby to the PA news agency, Sir Ed – who was knighted in 2016 – said: "If the Queen wants to knight a politician or someone outside politics in any walk of life, I think we should respect Her Majesty. And I'm rather worried that people are being disrespectful to Her Majesty."
