Soldier's diary from the First World War found in a UK barn

A battered diary detailing the experiences of a soldier during the Battle of the Somme in the First World War has been discovered in a barn in the midlands. The Battle of the Somme was one of the bloodiest in UK history. According to the Militaria Valuer, Adrian Stevenson, it is very rare to find a diary that goes into as much detail of the battle.
