Varadkar assures Unionist fears over revised Brexit deal

Irish Taoiseach Leo Varadkar has said that Unionists should not think that customs arrangements within the revised Withdrawal Agreement will make Northern Ireland less British. Speaking at a press briefing to mark the end of this week's EU Summit, the Taoiseach said that the Good Friday agreement ensures Northern Ireland's place within the UK until its people decide otherwise. Varadkar also said that no-deal prepartions will be mostly 'stood-down' if Boris Johnson's deal passes through the House of Commons on Saturday.
