In Carrigaline, Cork, Keith Stanton hatched one big romantic plan to make sure that his girlfriend would say "Yes" when he proposed.
So to make the occasion even more special, he got in touch with local singer Pat Fitz to see if he could help him out.
When his girlfriend was out with friends, and he'd had enough time to organise his plan, the Casanova devised the perfect ruse to entice her home.
He rang her and said: “The power is gone, nothing’s working, there’s smoke coming out of the fuse box above the stairs".
With tea-light candles all over the house, and the band ready to play "I'm Yours", he led her inside the door when she returned.
