Alliance Party Leader, Naomi Long calls Sinn Fein's proposals for the Independent Panel Investigation into the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) 'rubbish and unworkable'.
Speaking at Stormont on Friday afternoon, Ms. Long said: “The First Minister should step aside without prejudice to the outcome of that.”
Naomi Long added: "If we are thrown into an election we are doing the people of Northern Ireland a major disservice.
We are ready to fight these elections if they come but we will be coming straight back into the Assembly to ask for an inquiry into the RHI scandal-the problem will not go away.”
The botched RHI scheme could cost taxpayers over £490m.
