Video: Anti-amnesty protests in Bangkok

Thousands of Thais rallied in the capital against a proposed amnesty law on November 11, as the bill went to the Senate. The amnesty would have applied to offences committed in the wake of Thailand’s 2006 coup, which ousted former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra, and was followed by a bloody period of civil unrest. The bill, which was proposed by the governing Pheu Thai party, was rejected by Thailand’s Senate. Credit: Youtube/BRACES
