Video: Belfast barber offering free cuts to homeless on Christmas Day

A Belfast barber is to open his premises on Christmas Day to help bring festive cheer to those in need.

Jack Shweihi, who is originally from Egypt, has made Belfast his home for the last six years and in that time has built up a successful barber's shop in the city's Church Lane.

Homeless people are invited to drop in for a short back and sides or a hair makeover, coupled with good company, mince pies and other festive delights from 1pm to 6pm.

Kind-hearted Jack said the gesture would "give something back" and added that he hoped the move would go some way to showing Muslim people in a more positive light as a valuable part of the community in Belfast.
