After a challenge of a lifetime, Brian McGeown, Director of Love and Death Inc. has raised over £5,000 for charities ‘close to his heart’.
Belfast businessman ran nine martahons in nine days from Cork to Belfast, that’s an impressive 249miles in August.
Brian is still fundraising for The Children’s Heartbeat Trust, The Down’s Syndrome Association and Mind Your Mate and Yourself (MYMY).
“The reason for taking on the challenge is that sometimes you feel helpless to people close to you, no matter how sympathetic you are of their situation, by doing a crazy run hopefully I can raise some money and more importantly awareness of what these three amazing local charities do on a daily basis. Last year I ran from Belfast to Dublin, so I thought I would try something harder this time round,” said Brian.
Next year Brian will have to ‘up his game’ again and said,“I’ve plans to do something else next year, something harder, you will have to wait and see.”
