Video: Chris Boardman gives his top tips on riding the British stages of the Tour de France

This July, the world's best road cyclists will descend on Britain for the start of the world's greatest bike race - the Tour de France. The tour starts in Yorkshire and will see riders take on 600 kilometres of our toughest terrain before the finish of the third stage in London. For keen cyclists, there's plenty of time to test yourselves on the actual tour route before the pros get here, and British cycling legend Chris Boardman has picked out his favorite sections of the three stages of tour. To make it even easier, he's also joined with Ordnance Survey to launch OS Ride, a new free app for iOS which contains mapping for all three stages being held in Britain, as well as high quality route maps for historic stages of the tour when the world's most famous cycle race came to Great Britain in 2007, 1994 and 1974.
