Video: Ciclovia bike revolution gearing up to transform Belfast into cycling paradise

Belfast's streets will be cleared of traffic from Botanic Gardens to City Hall on Sunday 4 October as the Ciclovia cycling revolution hits the city.

There'll be traffic-free streets and lots to do both in Botanic and around City Hall for cyclists, sightseers and families.

Cafes and coffee houses will be open along the route and there will be buskers, a choir, live music, circus performers and much more.

A Ciclovia spokesperson said: “Get on your bike and join us for the first Ciclovia Belfast on Sunday 4th October.

“From 9am – 12:45pm a cycle freeway will allow cyclists of all abilities and ages to cycle car free along a route including Botanic Avenue, Dublin Road, Bedford Street and City Hall.

“With lots of free fun for all the family at hubs located at Botanic Gardens and City Hall.

“The cycle freeway is free for everyone to cycle at any time during the event." Visit www.cicloviabelfast.com for details.
