Video: DUP's Emma Pengelly vows to 'represent all the people of South Belfast' after taking Alasdair McDonnell's seat
Emma Little Pengelly was celebrating today after taking the South Belfast seat for the DUP.
It was a remarkable turnaround in her political career - as just three months ago she failed to get re-elected in the constituency as an MLA.
In her acceptance speech she thanked former DUP Leader and First Minister Peter Robinson for "coming out of retirement" to act as the key strategist in her campaign team.
She also paid tribute to outgoing MP for the area - the SDLP's Alasdair McDonnell - and vowed to "represent all the people of South Belfast."
