Video: Endurance athletes and ultra-runners competed in one the ultimate challenges – the Belfast Energia 24 hour race

Endurance athletes and ultra-runners from across Ireland and beyond turned out for the toughest sporting challenge on the island – the Belfast Energia 24 hour race. The 2014 race took place at the Mary Peters track in the south of the city on Friday and Saturday. Seventeen runners beat the 100 miles in 24 hours mark – with the top three recording 146 miles and two 141 miles for second and third place.
