Video: Hip-hop dance crew Li'l Lyricz represent Northern Ireland at the world championships in Germany

A Northern Ireland hip-hop dance crew have travelled to Germany to take part in the world championships.

Lil Lyricz, who rehearse at the La Chance de Danse studio in Bangor - are comprised of twins Bethany and Brooke Caldwell (12), Lola Benson (12), Sarah McBride (13) and Shannon Storey (13).

Choreographer Kellie Storey said yesterday (Mon): "The girls are really excited. I think it's all just beginning to sink in. They've put a lot of effort into the rehearsals and over the last few weeks have been busy appearing at a lot of events - such as doing performances at local shopping centres and evn a flash-mob dance."

North Down mayor Peter Martin also wished the girls well in the competition - where they will be representing Ireland, north and south.

"It's fantastic to see these young people doing something very constructive. It would be great to have new hip-hop world champions from Bangor!"
