Video: Marshall inquiry - Child sexual exploitation by paramilitaries is a 'growing threat' in Northern Ireland

An inquiry into child sexual exploitation has revealed paramilitaries in Northern Ireland are using fear and intimidation to sexually exploit children. Child sexual exploitation is a "growing threat" to young people in Northern Ireland, an inquiry has found. The inquiry was commissioned last year after it emerged police had identified 22 people, aged between 13 and 18, who may have been sexually exploited. Former Scottish commissioner for children and young people Professor Kathleen Marshall has spent a year investigating the extent of the problem after she was appointed by Stormont's former Health Minister Edwin Poots.
