Video: Mexican volcano emits plume of steam and ash

The Popocatépetl volcano in central Mexico is one of the most active volcanos in the world, and the waning days of 2014 have proven the volcano’s prowess with “exhalations” of steam, gas, and ash. Mexico’s National Center for Disaster Prevention (CENEPRED) reported 82 such exhalations in the 24 hours between 11am Sunday and 11am Monday. This footage shows the exhalation at 8am on Monday, December 29. Credit: Facebook/Webcams de Mexico
