Video: Northern Ireland Assembly Elections 2016 - Voters at west Belfast's Edenbrooke Primary School

Voters gathered in the Shankill area in west Belfast to put their vote forward in the Assembly Elections.

The dryer, milder weather ensured a steady flow of voters at Edenbrooke Primary School.

Jamie Moore from East Antrim said: “As a young person myself I would like to see a greater voice for young people in the next Assembly, maybe younger candidates and stuff. A lot of people would sometimes say there is a better turn out from older people.

“A lot of my friends wouldn’t vote and they don’t feel it’s worthwhile so maybe if there was a voice for younger people to be heard better.”
