Video: Renewable Heat Incentive scheme - Mike Nesbitt accused of 'political opportunism'

First Minister Arlene Foster is facing fresh calls to resign following new revelations over a bungled heating scheme set to cost Northern Ireland upwards of £400m.

Christopher Stalford, a MLA in Mrs Foster's Democratic Unionist Party (DUP), said "I think a lot of those people that are making demands in terms of the first minister attending relevant committees seem to have made their minds up already,"

"Is this actually about scrutiny or accountability, or is there politics at play?"

However, Ulster Unionist leader Mike Nesbitt said that "Mrs Foster remains in denial" and interviews she gave yesterday "were all about blaming everyone but herself".

"The fact remains she presided over a series of policy choices which have created a £400m debt that is her legacy to the people of Northern Ireland."
