Sinn Fein launched their case for designated special status within the European Union at The Waterfront Hall, on Tuesday morning.
At the launch was Sinn Fein's Northern Ireland leader Michelle O’Neill, party deputy leader Mary Lou McDonald TD, John O’Dowd and Martina Anderson.
Mr O’Dowd said, “We are deeply concerned that we are going to be dragged out of the EU against our will, 56% of the people voted here to remain. Brexit has huge economic, social consequences for the island of Ireland and it needs to be challenged.
“Now we are very clear if the people of England and Wales wish to leave the EU that’s a matter for them. We wish to remain, the democratic will of the people here is to wish to remain.”
