Politicians from across the political spectrum in Northern Ireland have been giving their reaction to Sinn Fein President Gerry Adam's tweet in which he used the 'n-word'.
SDLP Leader Colum Eastwood said he found it "absolutely bizarre" would put out a tweet "with such racist language in it."
"I don't think Gerry Adams is a racist but I do think that his judgement has once again been called into question," he said.
DUP North Belfast MLA Nelson McCausland said: "The comment is absolutely horrendous, not only in terms of the language by using the 'n'-word, but also in that it shows what he really thinks of Northern Ireland."
East Antrim Alliance MLA Stewart Dickson said: "In any normal democratic society someone of his (Gerry Adams) standing - and someone who is the leader of an all-island party - really their political membership should be saying to themselves, 'is this someone we want as our leader?'
