Video: Sinn Fein's Michelle O'Neill - Brexit bad for Northern Ireland's economy and undermines peace process

Sinn Fein is seeking a political declaration from the European Council to secure designated special status for Northern Ireland within the EU.

Speaking at a Press conference in west Belfast on Tuesday Michelle O’Neill, the party’s northern leader, said Brexit was bad for the province’s economy and the peace process.

She insisted any declaration from the European Council should address the single market, common travel area, EU funding streams, the rights of Irish citizens in Northern Ireland and the maintenance of access to EU institutions.
