Special Olympics Ulster needed to raise £70,000 on their biggest annual 24-hour fundraising event.

Money collected at St. George’s market and other collection points across the country will go towards helping develop competitions, sports and health programmes available to all the Speical Olmpics Ulster athletes.

John Kivlahan, Special Olympics Ulster Fundraising Manager, said: “This is our biggest annual fundraising event of the year, and everyone has been very generous so far.

John added, “If you can’t make it down to one of our collection points on Friday you can donate to www.specialolympics.ie or text Special 1 to 70660,that will be a £2 donation.”

Speical Oympics supports over 2,000 athletes who take part in sports across Ulster.
