Video: UK ministers send strong message to David Cameron as backing grows for soft opt-out option

An event hosted by the Cystic Fibrosis Trust in Belfast has sent a united message to Prime Minister David Cameron on organ donation policy - calling for soft opt out legislation to be introduced UK-wide. For the first time, ministers and politicians including Mark Drakeford, Health Minister in the Welsh Parliament; Anne McTaggart, a member of the Scottish Parliament; and Jo-Anne Dobson - UUP MLA for Upper Bann, met with leading clinical professionals at Stormont representing three nations of the United Kingdom who are moving toward a soft opt-out system and to discuss the impact it would have on the rest of the UK.
