Video: US police officer breaks down after fatally shooting unarmed man

A coroner’s jury ruled on January 7 that the shooting dead of an unarmed Montana man by a police officer was a noncriminal, justifiable homicide. A video showing police officer Grant Morrison sobbing after shooting Richard Ramirez on April 14, 2014, was shown as part of the inquest into the man’s death. Dashcam footage of the shooting incident itself was also shown. Morrison said he feared that Ramirez, who was named as a suspect in a shooting the night before, was reaching for a gun when he shot him, the Billings Gazette reported. This video shows Morrison being comforted by fellow police officers immediately after the shooting. Credit: Billings Police Department
