Video: Young Horslips fan Ciaran lives his dream ... playing support for Horslips!

Singer/songwriter Ciaran McElhinney from Omagh says he was ‘shocked’ and ‘honored’ to be chosen to open the Horslips concert in the Ulster Hall, Belfast. For Ciaran has been a life-long fan of the band.

He said: "I think it is every young person dream, to meet their heroes and to get to on the big stage. And now I'm doing it."

The Tyrone man has been involved with music from a young age.

His influences include everything from rock, metal, blues, bluegrass, country, Americana and Irish and Folk.

Ciaran met Barry Devlin and Jim Lockhart from Horslips a few weeks ago in Belfast at a music launch. They got chatting and, said Ciaran: "They are down to earth guys and were just as interested in my music as I was in theirs".

Ciaran and Horslips perform this Sunday, October 26 in The Ulster Hall.
